The Physical Passage

The Hand is a metaphor representing the different states we embody as humans, there are five states:

  1. Spiritual
  2. Mental
  3. Physical
  4. Emotional
  5. Social

What is the physical, really?! Could it just be about how fit we keep our bodies? Or is it our diets and what we eat and drink?! No meat, only vegetables is an option many of us choose, against the normal dietary intake of eat everything and anything that moves or grows; if we can copy it and sell it for the same price, then we copy and eat it… for tomorrow we may die.

The physical is like everything else in this world – connected. We can keep our body muscles physically fit but they are not the only muscles we need to strengthen and look after, our relationships have muscles too, the relationship with ourselves and those close to us also require exercising. We often spend a lot more time strengthening are own muscles and neglecting to exercise the key relationship ones, the ones with our partners, children, even those who raised us, get neglected sometimes.

  1. A basic fitness routine which can develop into something more advanced later on (you don’t have to join a gym and hire a Personal Trainer – but it helps)
  2. A good book if you love reading – self development comes in the form of words on a page or words spoken in audio – take your pick
  3. Plenty of walking, jogging or running – remember to be kind to your legs and your feet
  4. Yoga, Pilates, Swimming, Football, Skateboarding or anything physical this also exercises your minds muscles
  5. Manage responsibly or eliminate your intake of Alcohol, Drugs, etc. Easier said than done, I know
  6. Food – Its up to you but listen to the body with your inner voice when you eat
  7. Drink – Also up to you what you choose
  8. Sugar – Well, say no more…
