John Alexander’s qualifications are in Mindfulness, & Compassion in Professional Practice – Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
His experience in community work has involved all ages, from primary aged children through to retired elders in the community (providing help for his intergenerational work), and the long-term unemployed who because of their mental health have suffered long periods of either no work or training.
His mentoring programs have included but not been limited to, children and teenagers at risk of exclusion from either school or society. His future aspirations are to facilitate the learning for children, young people and adults on how to embrace and love themselves, using empathy and compassion as part of their tools for dealing with difficult situations.
In addition to his pioneering research into Cultural Rites of Passage transitions, he has also spent time listening to the voice of various cultural and class groups sharing the same mental health issues within different cities across the United Kingdom.
This has sparked the development of several programmes, two of which are, the ‘Way of Life Program‘ which helps us focus on our beautiful yet tender – Journey of Life and secondly the, Love being Business programme which addresses the business skills shortage prevalent right across the UK.
